Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park residents have been forced to sign up to East London Energy through their leasing agreements and can’t be provided with alternative suppliers. This is a monopoly and this is unacceptable.

Some residents have pointed out their
energy bills were over double the 2021 energy price-cap. Other residents noted
that there had been 102% increase in their tariff cuts in 2022 alone.

These high energy costs are due to
the ELE not being subject to legal pricing caps.

Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz is working with residents to lobby ELE and the LLDC to put price caps in place and come up with a long term solution for the company that is fairer to residents.

The next online meeting is at 7pm on Tuseday 22nd November.
